Australian Rules Football

The Australian Rules Football is very commonly known as “Australian football “in Australia. It is an official spectator sport and participation enjoyed by the Australians. It is a football game played between two teams originally having 22 players and 18 on field players. There is a special “Oval shaped” ball used for playing. The armature game of the Football is played by various different counties and in all types of variations. • The first rule of the game is that it hast to be played between 2 teams containing 22 players. 18 players of each team playing on the football ground and 4 substitute players.
• The “Oval shaped” ball used in the game can be passed on to the players by hand passing, kicking and even by running by keeping the ball in hand.
• The rule of Hand passing of the ball means hitting it with the fist of the player, not throwing it off to the other players.
• When the player is running with the ball in his hand, the rule is to let the ball bounce every 15 meters.
• The ball has to be kicked in the middle of the side posts to gain a goal (score1) at the opponents’ end.
• Only after 20 minutes of the 4 quarters, a team which has scored the most is announced the winner.
